Soviet Medal for Combat Merit #254081
Made of solid silver and lacquer. Measures 32.12 mm in diameter and 2.20 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.03 mm including the eyelet and it weighs 18.1 gram without its suspension. This piece was originally awarded on a rectangular suspension which was replaced by a pentagon shaped one according to new 1943 regulations on wearing Soviet awards.
In decent condition with medium to strong overall wear but with a fair amount of details still visible. There are several small dings and scratches and the red lacquer is worn off. Its connection ring has been cut and the medal comes with an old brass suspension and ribbon.
Probably awarded early 1943 so with excellent research potential
