Badge for Excellence in Socialist Competition of the Ministry of Oil Industry of the Eastern Regions of the USSR #1041
Made of silver plated brass and enamels. Measures 31.24 in height, 24.22 mm in width and weighs 6.2 gram without its screwplate. The serial number ‘1041’ can be found at the bottom of its reverse. The minimum known number is 14 and the maximum is 1479.
In worn condition with the red enamels replaced with lacquer. However, the white enamels are original and show a crack only and its details are crisp. Its screw has not been shortened and its screwplate is original to the badge.
These badges are quite rare since the Ministry of Oil Industry of the Eastern Regions existed only from 1946 to 1948 when it was combined with ministries of the other regions into a large Ministry of Oil.
