Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border of the USSR
Made of silver plated nickel. It measures 32.12 mm in width, 37.11 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.8 gram without its suspension.
The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details, even on the higher laying parts like the soldier’s face. Both sides show an appealing dark patina on the silver plating and the medal comes with its aluminium suspension and old ribbon. Its connection ring has not been cut although it appears to be at first glance.
Awarded to K.G.B. Border Troops personnel for military or other actions displaying excellence in guarding the Soviet borders.
