Soviet Medal for the Defense of Moscow variation 1
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.16 mm in diameter, 37.44 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.1 gram without its suspension.
This medal for the Defense of Moscow is in excellent condition with crisp details and light overall wear. A fair amount of gold plating is still present and makes a typical ‘tiger stripe’ pattern. Its connection ring has not been cut and its suspension is from a later type.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defence of Moscow between 19 October 1941 and 25 January 1942.
