Soviet Medal for the Defense of Moscow variation 1
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.29 mm in diameter, 37.22 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.3 gram without its suspension.
This Soviet medal for the Defense of Moscow is in nice condition with crisp details. Even details like the fingers of the man on the left side of its obverse are still visible. Most gold plating is worn off but some of it is still visible around the lettering of its reverse. Its early suspension is time period to the medal and its connection ring has not been cut.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defence of Moscow between 19 October 1941 and 25 January 1942.
