Soviet medal for the Capture of Budapest
WW2 variation 1b with a raised rim on its reverseÂ
This medal for the Capture of Budapest is made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.13 mm in diameter, 37.68 mm in height and weighs 17.1 gram (not including its suspension).
The medal is in nice condition with medium wear on its higher laying parts. There are several small dings and scratches visible but most details are still present. The steel suspension is time period to the medal and there have been no repairs.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
