Researched Soviet Partisan Medal Bar
Awarded to Sr Lieutenant Boris Ivanovich Romanov (Борис Иванович Романов)
Romanov received his Partisan medal as part of the crew of a R-6 aircraft. He conducted 3 night combat sorties in the period 15-16 March 1943. The missions entailed landing behind the enemy line in the partisan area of operation. With his excellent navigation skills, he ensured success of the combat mission: evacuation of 16 glider pilots and 3 wounded partisans to the main land.

Medal for Combat Merit #2723708
Made of solid silver. Measures 37.36 mm in height, 32.30 mm in width and weighs 18.6 gram. The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details and most lacquer present. There are very few dings and scratches and its connection ring has been cut.
Partisan Medal 2nd class
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 37.11 mm in height, 32.16 mm in width and weighs 17.0 gram. The medal is in a nice, worn condition. There are several small dings and scratches and the higher laying parts like Stalin and Lenin’s faces show medium wear. Most details however are present. Less seen early variation without a rim on its obverse.
Medal for the Victory over Germany
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 36.63 mm in height, 32.27 mm in width and weighs 16.7 gram. The medal is in excellent condition with all details are crisp and few dings and scratches.
Medal for the Victory over Japan
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 37.27 mm in height, 32.24 mm in width and weighs 17.6 gram. The medal is in excellent condition with all details are crisp and few dings and scratches.
Jubilee Medal for 30 years of the RKKA
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 37.12 mm in height, 32.15 mm in width and weighs 15.4 gram. The medal is in excellent condition with all details are crisp and few dings and scratches. Most gold plating is still present.
