Made of solid silver. The medal for Combat Merit measures 32.21 mm in diameter and 2.15 mm in thickness at the very edge of the medal. The height of the medal is 36.40 mm (including the eyelet) and it weighs 18.1 gram.
This medal for Combat Merit medal is in a nice worn condition with most details present. Even the higher laying parts on its obverse have little wear. Most lacquer filling the letter ‘CCCP’ is gone. The medal comes with its time period double layer steel suspension and old ribbon. Its connection ring has not been cut.
This military medal awarded for “combat action resulting in a military success”; “courageous defence of the state borders”; or “successful military and political training and preparation”. Also awarded for 10 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
