Soviet medal for the Capture of Budapest
WW2 variation 1a without a raised rim on its reverseÂ
Made out of gold plated brass. It measures 32.02 mm in diameter; 37.24 mm in height including its eyelet and the medal weighs 16.0 gram (not including its suspension).
This medal for the Capture of Budapest is in excellent, well above average condition with crisp details and much gold plating present. The brass suspension is also in excellent condition and is time period to the medal.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
