 Sino-Soviet Friendship Medal with award certificate and official Russian translation

Awarded to Lt. Colonel Vasily Mikhailovich Marchev (Василий Михайлович Марчев)

Made of gold plated brass and enamels. It measures 46.1 in height, 39.6 mm in width and it weighs 22.4 grams without its ribbon. On the obverse the national flags of the USSR and China are portrayed and the motto “Long Live Sino Soviet Friendship”.

In excellent condition with light wear and perfectly crisp details. Most of the original gold plating is still present and both sides show several small dings and contact marks. The red enamels are very well preserved without chipping or repairs.

The medal is accompanied with its award certificate and official Russian translation. They are dated 1955.

Established in 1951; the Sino Soviet Friendship Medal was issued to Soviet military and civilian personnel; helping the Chinese during and after the Korean War.
