Soviet Orders of the Red Star #2721885 and #2721886
Soviet Orders of the Red Star; Made of silver and enamels. The star number #2721885 measures 47.56 mm in width; 46.69 mm in height and weighs 32.2 gram. Star number #2721886 measures 48.31 mm in width; 46.57 mm in height and weighs 31.9 gram.
Both orders are in excellent condition and still show many details on even the higher laying parts. There are several dings and scratches on both the enamel and silver but nothing distracting from their overall appearance. Their screwplates are time period to the order and their screws have not been shortened.
Very hard to find consecutive numbers and they would make a very interesting research project!
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
