Description
Group of Soviet Medals mounted on a laminated suspension
Would make an interesting research project
The group consists of the following items:
Medal for Bravery #2576744
Made of solid silver. Measures 42.5 mm in height (including its eyelet), 37.4 mm in width and weighs 29.0 grams.
The medal is in nice condition with several dings and scratches and a medium patina to the silver. The red lacquer is worn off but its details are still perfectly visible. Its connection ring has not been cut. The medal was most likely awarded in the spring of 1945.
Medal for Combat Merit #1123823
Made of solid silver. Measures 37.2 mm in height (including its eyelet), 32.3 mm in width and weighs 17.4 grams.
The medal is in decent condition with medium to strong wear to the raised areas. The red lacquer is worn off and both sides show several dings and scratches. Its connection ring has not been cut and the medal was most likely awarded mid 1944.
Medal for the Victory over Germany
Made of brass. Measures 36.7 mm in height, 32.1 mm in width and weighs 17.0 grams.
In problem free condition with medium wear and a fair amount of the original lust present on its reverse.
We believe the medals belong together, although the numbered medals have not been researched. The consistent patina, wear, and overall condition support this assessment. If future research proves the medals were not awarded to the same individual, the medal bar can be returned for a full refund.
